St. Patrick’s Day is almost upon us! A day of celebration and fun, it is certainly the biggest party of the month. You can choose to attend the parade or have fun at the numerous bars revelling in the day. It is also the day that everybody goes a little green. It is not with envy, but rather as indulging in an overabundance of green clothing. Of course, there is also the face paint, and let’s not forget the variety of food and drinks that are also inevitably green for the day.
There is, however, a fine line between supporting the Emerald Isle and resembling a cucumber. There is a way not to cross it. You can get Ax Paris dresses, shoes and other accessories that will not require you to go quite so overboard. Here are some tips for enjoying St. Patrick’s Day in style:
Tops
Green is a tricky colour to manoeuvre and does not always suit everyone. A deep emerald colour, is usually a good choice for most skin tones. The type of top that you wear depends on the party that you are attending. For something a little more upscale, choose a billowy top with long sleeves. You can pair it with a pair of black trousers. For a more low-key affair you can wear a green camisole with white trousers or a skirt. You will have the added benefit of being able to go from a daytime event to a night time party without having to change.
Dresses
If you choose a green dress, it definitely means you are going all in. Try a shirt dress in a leafy green or mint colour. You can also try a shift dress in those shades for something a little more sophisticated. Remember to keep your other accessories in nude, white, or black. This will ensure that you are not overwhelmed by the colour. After all, you do not want to blend into the décor, do you?
Accessories
There are many people who favour ‘Kiss Me I’m Irish’ badges at this time of the year. You, however, can do something a little more subtle. There are a lot of options when it comes to four leaf clover necklaces, bracelets, and even rings. It is a great way to get into the spirit without going overboard. With the luck of the Irish, you may even be able to find a scarf with that print on it. You can also add a green clutch to your outfit.
Little Touches
You do not have to paint your entire face green but a dainty little four leaf clover on your cheek will certainly be cute. A little hair chalk also never hurt anybody. You can be green haired for a day and it will wash out in the shower the very next day. Sparkly green nails and shamrock appliques will also be a great addition to any outfit.
It is definitely that time of the year to have a good time. You can also now look great doing it. Everything in moderation and you will look amazing. Erin Go Bragh!
