The Ultimate Guide to: Geneva

Geneva really is the city that has it all. And I know that's perhaps a rather bold statement to make, but following three days there earlier this month - I can safely say, it's risen right to the top of my recommended city breaks list, because whether it's gorgeous scenery, waterside dining, cocktails on the beach, boat trips, chocolate tours, fine dining, mountainous landscapes, hiking, shopping, culture or relaxation that you're searching for in a break, this is the destination that ticks ALL the boxes.I visited in association with Geneva Tourism in early September, for a long weekend stay with a group of girls. We had the most fabulous weekend and experienced all of the elements while we were there - blazing sunshine, clouded mist and a little bit of drizzle, however we soon discovered that whatever the weather, it's a gorgeous city with a lot to offer.

The Ultimate Guide to Hvar, Croatia

If you're looking for an island adventure, without having to travel long-haul, then the Croatian Island of Hvar should be next on your list of must-see destinations. My latest trip with Jet2 marked my second time on the island - and this time, I was very excited to show my boyfriend (who'd never been before) around. For me, it's the embodiment of a perfect getaway - because excuse the cliche, but there really is something for everyone. Ticking the 'city break' box, it has plenty of culture - such as a medieval hilltop fortress and the Renaissance-era Cathedral. It has incredible cuisine and winding streets full of hidden gems, bars and shops. It offers a stunning marina, encapsulated in a crescent by the limestone buildings of the city itself.

Ultimate Guide to Bournemouth

With 7 miles of gorgeous white sandy beaches, a vibrant nightlife and 2,000 acres of parks and gardens, Bournemouth certainly has a lot to offer on paper. However I still feel as though it's a hidden gem in terms of UK breaks and it's one that holds a rather special place in my heart.Because five years ago, I arrived in the coastal town as a nervous student, my belongings all packaged up in boxes, a new duvet set still in its wrappings and a place on Bournemouth University's prestigious Multimedia Journalism course.

The Ultimate Guide to: Madeira

I'll be totally honest with you, until a trip to Madeira was suggested to me a couple of months ago, I hadn't heard too much about the Portuguese Island. When I mentioned the upcoming trip to my parents, they agreed it was a place synonymous with the older generation or those who want a quiet holiday. So it's safe to say I didn't really know what to expect, other than no wild parties. But after a 4 hour flight, we touched down in Funchal and were instantly pleasantly surprised.

5 Reasons You Need To Visit The Elysium

Sunsets, sea, sun, sand and sangria. The five ingredients to a perfect getaway, right?David and I have been lucky enough to travel quite a bit this year as a couple, which is amazing as I love sharing adventures with him, however they'd all been very full-on (I mean have you read about us camping in the wilderness in America yet?) and jam-packed.There was no room to REALLY unwind, relax and just enjoy our surroundings.

Bath: The Ultimate City Guide

It's no secret that Bath is one of my all-time favourite UK cities. There's something so peaceful, calming and quite magical about the rows upon rows of terraced limestone fronted houses, cobbled paths, natural springs and incredible Georgian architecture. It's a feel-good city, if there's ever been such a thing. And so when the opportunity arose to visit again, this time with my boyfriend David in tow, I booked the date in the diary immediately. It was a lovely chance to enjoy all the benefits of a city break, without having to hop on a plane.
