How I Decorate My Home At Christmas
It's the most magical time of the year...I make no secret about the fact that I absolutely ADORE Christmas. I wish people decorated their houses so beautifully all year round, with garlands, lights and front garden decorations, because it honestly makes me SO happy and uplifted to see such wonderful displays throughout December. When we moved into our new home earlier in the year, I couldn't wait to decorate for Christmas.
How To Optimise Your Gut Health As A Woman
I have often spoken about my issues with IBS and my subsequent appreciation for probiotics, as a means of keeping my symptoms at bay. In the quest for optimum health, I found the probiotic brand Probio7 – a great product range of quality probiotics. Recently, the brand has launched Intiflor, which I was lucky enough to have been sent by the Probio7 team. Intiflor not only supports gut health, but is specifically tailored to promote intimate female health, ie. urinary tract infections, which are so common for many women (and not spoken about enough, in my opinion).
Christmas: The Ultimate Gift Guide 2019
It's the most wonderful time of the year. And possibly also the most expensive. But hey, that's why we love Christmas, right? It's obviously not all about the gifts but one of my favourite things to do around the festive period is shop for presents that I just know my family and friends will love. It's that one time of year that you can merrily treat your favourite people without them feeling awkward and saying 'oh no but you shouldn't have', so I take the opportunity with both hands and start my festive shopping early (we're talking September early).Rather than denote the recipient of each gift, I'm just going to collate my favourite recommendations into different categories.
The Pink Bedroom
Anyone that knows me, understands and appreciates my love of pink. It started when I was younger - and I've never really grown out of it.So of course, when we started redecorating our new home, we had to allocate at least ONE room of the house to embrace this gorgeous feminine shade! And since we had one very natural guest bedroom already, we figured why not turn the other one into the ultimate boho, chic, pink paradise?Surprisingly, David didn't take too much convincing.
The Ultimate Guide to: Geneva
Geneva really is the city that has it all. And I know that's perhaps a rather bold statement to make, but following three days there earlier this month - I can safely say, it's risen right to the top of my recommended city breaks list, because whether it's gorgeous scenery, waterside dining, cocktails on the beach, boat trips, chocolate tours, fine dining, mountainous landscapes, hiking, shopping, culture or relaxation that you're searching for in a break, this is the destination that ticks ALL the boxes.I visited in association with Geneva Tourism in early September, for a long weekend stay with a group of girls. We had the most fabulous weekend and experienced all of the elements while we were there - blazing sunshine, clouded mist and a little bit of drizzle, however we soon discovered that whatever the weather, it's a gorgeous city with a lot to offer.
How to: Reverse Recycle Your Coca-Cola Bottles!
After watching a rather hard-hitting documentary about our planet (and what we've put it through as of late) a couple of months ago, I've been looking into ways that I can reduce my own 'foot-print' on the planet. From what I garnered from the film, we all contribute and are equally responsible for the overall safety and security of our planet and so we can all do our bit in helping to keep our planet healthy and to give it a long-lasting future. As cliché as the saying goes, every little bit, does help.
5 Supplements You Need To Look Into
I've been very vocal about my various health issues over the years, ranging from digestive troubles, to hair loss, to skin redness and anxiety. I feel incredibly lucky that I've had the opportunity to try a number of different treatments, through my blog, that I wouldn't have otherwise heard of, in a bid to find the best solutions for this issues - and report my honest findings back to you guys.I've had hypnotherapy, I've had consultations with expert dermatologists in London, I've had massage therapy (quite literally a talking therapy session while you're having a massage, which was interesting to say the least), I've had laser treatments, I've had allergy tests. I've been on yoga retreats. Tried sound healing. And the things I haven't always expected to help, have helped.
The Living Room
The living room in our new house is more of a 'formal' living room, as we have an open plan kitchen/diner/living space at the back of the house where our old sofa now resides. So we practically started from scratch in this room - we had no furniture for it whatsoever - just four rather sad and blank looking walls to work with.
The Truth About Yoga Retreats
Since I posted about my experience at kaliyoga last year, I've had an influx of intrigued messages regarding what a 'yoga retreat' consists of...Do you have to go with someone else?Do you have to be a super fit, flexible and twice-weekly class yogi? Will I get hungry?Or will I have to sneak in food?
