Madison from sex-shopping-and-chocolate.com has been one of my favourite bloggers for quite sometime now, with her witty, sharp and opinionated writing style and exciting fashion and feature based posts. Since starting her blog, she has made no secret of the fact she is a self confessed shoe addict (although, I too follow the mantra ‘a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes’) and has even appeared in Fabulous Magazine to divulge her shoe sins.
Next month (February), she is launching a brand new shoe based project, which she hopes will not only conquer her ‘shoe problem’, but also the real worldwide shoe problem that an estimated 300 million children don’t have a pair of adequate shoes.
So, in aid of this – Febshoeary will play host to Madison’s ‘Shoe Strike’, where she will bravely give up all but one pair of shoes, a pair of 4.5 inch killer heels which she vows to do everything in (even her weekly Zumba class!). Her month long journey will be documented on her website, blisters and all, so intrigued fellow shoe addicts can follow her. As someone who struggles to wear heeled boots (I’m talking about myself), for more than 4 hours without having to soak my feet in a hot bath whilst huffing and puffing about how sore they are, I wish her all the very best of luck in her exciting and admirable challenge.
Those wishing to get involved with Febshoeary can donate to the project, which is partnered by Soles4Souls. Even if you’re still on a shoestring budget from all that January Sales shopping or overdue Christmas spending, you’ll be pleased to know that even a small donation counts, as £1 equals 1 pair of shoes.
Madison hopes to make this unique project an annual event, where we can potentially all join in next year. She has a goal of £1000 for the month, but I think she can beat that target by miles with our help!
I’ve donated, and you can too here. To find out more about Madison’s journey and what Febshoeary entails, click here.
