With the influx and influence of Instagram, Snapchat and Vine, there’s no denying that apps are taking over the world (well, nearly). And there’s continuously more and more hitting the market everyday. In fact, it’s hard to keep up with them all. But for those aspiring towards a career in fashion, or for those who simply love fashion – there’s only one that you should be keeping your eye on of late – ‘Do You Like It?‘.
With a simple, yet catchy name and an easy to use, navigate and scroll through design, Do You Like It? is almost like having fashion feedback at your fingertips, instantly. Although it launched back in May, the app has seen several upgrades since then, making it bigger and better each time (now with a combined usage of around 15,000).
When you’re next clothes shopping, you simply try your desired outfit on, upload a photo to the app (it doesn’t distort or crop the image either – you can take full body shots which is handy), then send the photo to your network of trusted fashion advisers. Within moments, they’ll tell you whether the outfit is a ‘hit’ or a ‘miss’, and will provide instant tips on how to jazz up an outfit or make it more ‘on trend’. Past pictures are stored, allowing you to browse through your own outfits and others – liking theirs, and gaining ‘points’ to work your way up the leaderboard.
The unique instant opinion is drawn from not just your network, but the entire Do You Like It? fashion community, meaning it’s quick, independent and extremely helpful when choosing what to buy, what to wear and what not too.
And best of all, it’s totally free!
