As an (admittedly rather lazy) glasses wearer myself, I was really excited to have been approached by Specsavers to participate in their new Dare to be Different campaign, with Osiris. As a renowned brand for stylish frames, Osiris encouraged those participating to try something new (something a little different) and so after sending over a photograph of myself, they asked their stylist to recommend a pair of frames for me.
Stylist’s Pick
Osiris B74
Although these style of frames is becoming increasingly popular, I wasn’t sure initially whether the unique mix of blue and brown on the front would suit my colouring and I tend to opt for plain, block colours, with a subtle pattern on the side. However, my boyfriend reassured me that they suited me and so I set about putting together an outfit that best fits in with the glasses themselves. Something that matched them, but let the glasses still stand out and make a statement.
The outfit I chose is actually a skirt and peplum top combination, with a pair of nude sandals and a beige bag. The glasses are quite smart in themselves, but indeed very quirky, so I wanted to reflect this in my outfit and ‘dare to be different’ but still be in keeping with my own style. I chose rather plain jewellery (with a little bit of sparkle) and I’m actually really pleased with how the whole look comes together! Perhaps it does pay to ‘dare to be different’ after all!
How to vote for me:
Today (Tuesday 20th August), my look – along with another participating bloggers look will be going up on the Specsavers Facebook page, head to head with one another, and although it’s more about celebrating the best looks as opposed to ‘winning’, I would love to have some of you guys involved (and hopefully voting for me). If you place a vote, not only do you make one Scarlett very happy, but you are also entered into the giveaway for the chance to win vouchers to ‘re-create’ and purchase your own look.
Comment on my picture on the Specsavers Facebook page (here) here saying you vote for Scarlett London’s look, or you can also vote via Twitter by tweeting Specsavers (here), letting them know which look you prefer.
Every vote counts, and I’d love your support!
The 2013 Osiris eyewear collection by Jørgen Simonsen is only available at Specsavers and is included in their 2 for 1 offer where two complete pairs are available for £125.
