With an exciting summer ahead – and trips booked to Thailand, Mykonos, Spain and Croatia, making sure I’m feeling my best (and looking my best) has definitely been something playing on my mind over the past couple of weeks. However with a dissertation to complete and a mountain of work blog-wise, the gym has taken a bit of a back seat and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that once the few weeks mark has passed since our last visit, it becomes harder and harder to get back into the swing of things. So I suppose it’s fair to say that I needed something to kick start my motivation and get myself back on the cross trainer.
Luckily, Pink Soda Sport got in touch with an exciting collaboration idea just at the right time, funnily enough – when I was browsing the John Lewis website for some new gym wear options. I don’t know what it is about having new ‘gear’ but it seems to kick start my passion for working out – and that can only be a good thing right?

The brand itself (which is owned by JD Sports) has been on my radar for quite some time, as I know there are lots of celebrity and blogger fans alike. It’s pretty affordable (which I love) but it also looks very high end and is of fantastic quality. I don’t tend to have £60 knocking around for a new pair of gym leggings (even if the Victoria’s Secret display is tempting) so to be able to have an accessible brand that still offers something pretty and feminine means they receive a big tick from me!
I chose a couple of items from the new range – which I took along with me on my recent visit to Pembrokeshire to shoot while we were walking along the beach. I’d love to say I really went for a run in these, but I’d be lying. It was ridiculously chilly and I’m such a wimp, so I literally whipped off my jacket, took the snaps and ran squealing back to the car. #GlamBloggerLife. Anyway, I think I’ve kind of got away with it. If you squint, it almost looks like I’m in the Maldives. Well, that last part was a joke.

The pieces I chose were from the brand’s second collection, which was created after the success of the first – sported by the likes of Vicky Pattinson, Ferne McCann and Lauren Pope. Although pretty much everything was up my street and something I’d be happy to wear, I opted for the Capri Leggings, Logo Crop (low impact sports bra), the 2-in-1 printed vest (again with a low impact sports bra included), the zip through panel hoody and the lifestyle leggings. Although different pieces went very well when teamed with certain items (as illustrated in these pictures), I love that everything is able to be mixed and matched – as it helps when things are in the wash, but you still want to enter the gym feeling good (and on trend!).
I also really like that everything has the ‘Pink Soda’ tag on it, with a unique array of strap types and the ‘pink’ colour scheme tying each piece together.

Space Dye Capri Leggings (£25)
The Zip Through Panel Hoody has been attached to my upper half for the past week, as it’s so easy to wear and super comfortable – teamed with the Space Dye Slim Jogging Pants, which are possibly the comfiest thing known to man. They are the only flattering pair of jogging bottoms I’ve ever owned – and for that reason, I’m finding any excuse to justify wearing them.
I’m pleased to say that my new gym wear collection has well and truly revitalised my passion for exercise – and although I’m no Tasha Oakley just yet, I’m feeling the part anyway!
Do you have any pieces from the Pink Soda Sport collection? Does new gym wear have the same effect on you?
