I have been meaning to write about Zalando for quite a while now and just haven’t got round to it. I ordered a gorgeous pair of strappy sandals from their website, and have worn them a few times since but haven’t posted about them yet! As you are probably aware, Zalando sell shoes and fashion online and are well known for their ‘free delivery on all products’.
Personally, I think whilst delivery charges aren’t a deciding factor about whether I will buy something or not – it’s a nice change to go onto a website and not be charged delivery costs on top of what you are buying. When I started looking for something to buy on Zalando, I was greeted with a huge variety of gorgeous shoes and it was a very difficult decision picking just one pair. I decided to go for something a little different, as I normally am drawn to the highest, most glittery pair and usually end up never wearing them. I settled on a gorgeous pair of blue what I like to call ‘flatforms’. They have a slight heel, but I would describe it as more of a wedge – which is very easy to walk on and comfortable to wear. I really like the unique design of the shoes, and I’ve had lots of compliments when wearing them. Although they are quite summer-y, and aren’t the kind of shoe you’d wear with tights, I’m looking forward to getting a lot of use out of them next summer. Plus, they were only £21 on Zalando!
I think these kinds of shoes (which don’t have a very high heel) are best worn with dresses and bare legs, because when I tried them on with a pair of jeans – I found that they were fairly unflattering. I don’t think it was because of the shoe itself, but I think a higher pair of shoes works better with regards to giving the appearance of a slimmer leg.
Overall, I have only great things to say about Zalando. Their shipping is not only free, but very speedy – which is perfect for those that love shopping online, but hate waiting. Their website is really easy to navigate, which is often a deciding factor on whether I shop at a certain online store or not. Plus – if you need anymore persuading, they also have a 50% sale on at the moment!
