If I’m honest, before I reviewed these – I never knew that headphones (the ones that go over your ears, rather than in them – when discussing, they are often confused for the other) could be feminine. I’d always associated them with loud, rock music – worn by the boys on the bus, rather than the women. Yes, I am generalising – we all do it, but I’d just never really seen them as pretty, or girly – and when they are a staple piece of your outfit on a daily basis, to and from work – this surely needs to be a vital component when considering?
Skullcandy are a brand leader in the world of headphones, I’ve previously purchased their products as gifts for male family members, however when they approached me with a new feminine focused release in time for the festive season – I was beyond excited to try them out. Floral headphones, with a gold trim and a pink cable. Finally – my answer to forever having to re-insert my earphones on the treadmill and untangle various different generic iPhone cables.
Housed in a gorgeous floral collage bag (which keeps them tangle free) the knockout headphones are the perfect size to fit over your ears, but without looking overbearingly obvious or outlandish. The cable features a 3 button remote and the ear cushions are comfortable – so much so, I kept them on for an entire 5 hour train journey. That definitely says something.
An ideal present this Christmas for any music, gym or floral lover, the headphones are priced at £79.99, which when you consider how much usage they will get – and the quality of the sound coming out of them, is a real bargain. Skullcandy do offer two other feminine focused models – the Bombshell (£39.99) and the Dime (£29.99) but these are my personal favourite.
