It’s that time of year again. Christmas is upon us. And yet undoubtably, things look a little different this year. 2020 has been the strangest year many of us have ever faced, with surreal lockdowns, spending time away from family and friends and surmounting financial pressure with potential redundancies and pay-cuts.
Really and truly, if this year has taught us anything it’s that time is precious and being able to use it to spend with family and friends is something you cannot put a price on and is a gift in itself. However for lots of people, Christmas is also a time to be able to treat our loved ones with material tokens of our appreciation. We give people gifts (however big or small, home-made or Amazon ordered) to show them that we are grateful for them and value the role they play in our lives.
I’ve really tried to feature a mix of expensive and more affordable gifting options, as well as those that are from small family-run businesses. Christmas may look different this year, but we can still have fun with it – however that may be!

So many of our close friends and family have had their first babies born this year, which is incredibly exciting for us – as it means we’ve been treated to lots of baby spam and I’ve been able to fawn over the adorably tiny socks and baby-grows in the supermarket (and have an excuse to buy them)! I also love the multi-tasking organic jojoba and sesame oil (the multi-oil) which is a bathroom staple – and a pretty one too, in a chic sustainable glass bottle.
