Nothing says Valentine’s Day more than some gorgeous smelling goodies – and so I was delighted to discover that LUSH has brought out some exclusive bits especially for the day itself! So if you are struggling to know what to get your Valentine (as they do men’s gift packs as well) or simply want to treat yourself on the 14th – then read on!
LUSH have brought out three new gift packs targeted at women for Valentine’s day – the ‘Do Knot Disturb’ at £16.95, the ‘PS I Love You’ also at £16.95 and the Lots of Love hatbox at £24.50, all of which are packed with romantic offerings. Each gift contains the three items I reviewed – which were all equally lovely. I’d be sold on any of the three!
The first one which was the lovely Love Potion Massage Bar (£5.95) which not only smells gorgeous but is shaped like a bottle of Love Potion! It is scented with Shea butter and cocoa butter, which is my favourite combination – so I’m probably biased with this review. Although I suppose its primary purpose is a massage bar, I used it as soap – and I spent the rest of the day secretly sniffing my arm which upheld the scent of Shea butter. Its main fragrance is the cocoa butter, but it has hints of cinnamon and apple blossom which may seem like a strange combination but smells lovely. It left my skin feeling very soft and smooth, and smelling lovely!
I also tested out the Leap Frog Bath Bomb, which I have seen other bloggers review over the last week – but wanted to test it out for myself. I’m not a huge bath lover to be honest, but since I have been ill this week and a bath to steam my nose (and relax!) I tested it out. It’s a lovely mix of jasmine and sandalwood and for £2.75, it’s worth it! I love the attention to detail LUSH’s products have, I think aside from their environmentally friendly USP, the reason they are so popular is because they make sure the appearance of their products is inviting, as well as all the other factors!
The third and final product I reviewed was the Titsy Totsy Bubble Bomb which also smelt amazing! I haven’t yet tried this one out, as there’s only so many baths a person can have during one day but I’m sure it won’t disappoint. I love the rose petals embedded in the bath bomb, as it gives a really romantic ‘Valentine’s Day’ feel to the product.
Although they have all been launched as ‘Valentine’s Day’ gifts, the ‘Do Knot Disturb’ gift set will be available permanently after the 14th, as LUSH say ‘romantic breaks away are for life, ‘knot’ just for Valentine’s’. I know a lot of people don’t ‘believe’ in Valentine’s Day, as some think it’s purely a day set up by businesses (primarily card shops) as a means of making more money. Yes, to some extent this is true – but I think it’s quite nice to have a day where you can express how you feel about someone, especially if you are busy the rest of the year and don’t find the time to be romantic. So, if you are stuck for choice, head on over to LUSH and direct your Valentine over to the gift section. If all else fails, leave this blog post open. If you are reading this and wondering why – HEAD TO LUSH!
