It’s the most magical time of the year…
I make no secret about the fact that I absolutely ADORE Christmas. I wish people decorated their houses so beautifully all year round, with garlands, lights and front garden decorations, because it honestly makes me SO happy and uplifted to see such wonderful displays throughout December.
When we moved into our new home earlier in the year, I couldn’t wait to decorate for Christmas.
Anyone that knows me, understands and appreciates my love of pink. It started when I was younger – and I’ve never really grown out of it.
So of course, when we started redecorating our new home, we had to allocate at least ONE room of the house to embrace this gorgeous feminine shade!
And since we had one very natural guest bedroom already, we figured why not turn the other one into the ultimate boho, chic, pink paradise?
Surprisingly, David didn’t take too much convincing.
The living room in our new house is more of a ‘formal’ living room, as we have an open plan kitchen/diner/living space at the back of the house where our old sofa now resides.
So we practically started from scratch in this room – we had no furniture for it whatsoever – just four rather sad and blank looking walls to work with.
I can’t quite believe I haven’t even properly ‘announced’ this on my blog, but we’ve MOVED HOUSE!
In mid-December, David and I bought our first home together and moved in to a very blank canvas.
If I’m totally honest, the move all happened very quickly and we managed to secure a deal on a house that was much larger than we were expecting. We capitalised on the relatively slow market in our area and put in an offer that was much lower than the asking price.
After many back and forth negotiations, we got the house – and in we moved.
