Everyday Ruffles

As much as I love fancy-pants outfits that look great on Instagram, the thing I really love about blogging is the fact it provides real inspiration. Every-day fashion ideas that are actually, genuinely accessible to the average person. Stuff you’d actually step into Sainsbury’s wearing without getting funny looks. You get the idea! So, in aid of this – I thought I’d showcase my favourite go-to everyday outfit of the moment. This particular combination has been showcased outside of the house on a number of different occasions – and I love how comfortable it is. Its summery connotations means that…

In My Wardrobe:

My Own Secret Fairyland

Now that I’m blogging full time (it still feels very surreal to be saying that), I’m trying to ‘up’ my blogger game as much as I can. It’s a rather saturated market and I’m not your typical fashion blogger. I find it tricky to perfect a pose and take a good picture, but I do absolutely love fashion and I think it’s best displayed when it’s styled on yourself, so it’s something I’ve had to work on. Day to Night with House of Fraser

We’re in that awkward transitional stage. Where it’s never quite safe to leave the house without a coat, but at the same time, the sun is shining enough that we could get away with something with a shorter sleeve. However, as always, with UK weather – it’s entirely unpredictable and regardless of what you’re wearing (the other day it SNOWED!), you’ve probably got it wrong. At the same time, with the weather getting warmer and the cocktails getting even more summery, we’re all heading out for an evening, rather than forever picking staying in with a pizza and Netflix (well…

In my bathroom:

Floaty Florals

My dissertation is about 99.8% done (sorry for all the mentions, you must be sick of me banging on about it for so long) and so this – in my opinion – means only one thing. It’s not long until my first summer holiday of the year. I’m beyond excited and to mark this, I’ve been a bit click-happy on the whole online shopping front. Especially when it comes to dresses with floral patterns. Oops. Well, you know what they say. You can never have too many floaty floral dresses. That is what they say, isn’t it? Besides the shopping…

Shooting with Jody Bell

A couple of weeks ago, I was given the incredible opportunity to shoot a London Fashion Week promo with a new couture dress designer. Since I started my blog, I’ve been granted some amazing and wonderful experiences – but the whole shooting thing is still very new to me – and I’ve really been enjoying getting creative and working with fashion brands. So, my answer was an immediate yes. Even more so after I visited the designers showroom in the heart of Soho, where I fell in love with one dress in particular. The designer in question was the beautiful…
